2nd October 2020 – 11:00h – 12:30h
Public awareness on the risks and impacts associated with climate change has increased considerably. Moreover, recent scientific studies have outlined the urgent need of climate action and the implications of no action. Therefore, policy makers need to take the lead and make robust plans for tackling climate change.
CLIMACT has presented the findings of a recent study on contrasted pathways to increase the EU greenhouse gas emissions reductions targets. The study makes the policy options tangible, understandable and concrete to reach -55% or -65% by 2030 compared to 1990 level.
The webinar was co-hosted by MEP Jutta Paulus & MEP Tiemo Wölken.
