The CO2 Performance Scale is a CO2 management system designed to encourage companies to reduce their emissions. Initiated in the Netherlands, it is now increasingly adopted in Belgium, especially in the buildings and construction sector.
Syntaxe is a multi-disciplinary architecture office which designs large-scale buildings including offices, collective housing and industrial facilities. Adopting a holistic approach to architecture has always been in their DNA.
As part of our collaboration, CLIMACT helps Syntaxe to compute their full carbon footprint across scope 1, 2 and 3. To obtain a level 3 certification on the CO2 Performance Scale, Syntaxe must demonstrate that their emissions related to their scope 1, 2, and to the mobility of their employees decreases from year to year. We help them design a credible transition plan for these specific categories. As part of the certification requirements, Syntaxe also communicates publicly on their climate strategy, and takes part to emission reduction initiatives at the sector level such as the G30 Association of Architects and Cap Construction.
We are happy to announce that through our collaboration, Syntaxe has been certified Level 3 on the CO2 Performance Scale in 2022. We are currently in the process to support them for the renewal of this certification for 2024. Congratulations to them for progressing on their climate journey !
