Climact is proud to have collaborated with CAN Europe and other civil society organisations to produce an ambitious report proposing a pathway to climate neutrality in Europe by 2040.
Based on the PAC (Paris Agreement Compatible) scenario, the report demonstrates that a 100% renewable energy system is achievable and essential to limiting global warming to 1.5°C. It highlights three key priorities:
- Reducing energy demand through sustainable lifestyles and innovation.
- Accelerating the transition to renewable energies and eliminating fossil fuels.
- Generate more than €1,000 billion in co-benefits for the EU by 2030.
This report calls for swift action by the new European Commission to ensure a sustainable and prosperous future. Find out more on the CAN Europe website.
