Climact contributes to CAN Europe report for climate neutrality by 2040

Climact is proud to have collaborated with CAN Europe and other civil society organisations to produce an ambitious report proposing a pathway to climate neutrality in Europe by 2040.

Based on the PAC (Paris Agreement Compatible) scenario, the report demonstrates that a 100% renewable energy system is achievable and essential to limiting global warming to 1.5°C. It highlights three key priorities:

• Reducing energy demand through sustainable lifestyles and innovation.
• Accelerating the transition to renewable energies and eliminating fossil fuels.
• Generate more than €1,000 billion in co-benefits for the EU by 2030.
