The EU aims to be climate-neutral by 2050 – an economy with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. The EU Calc model analyses the feasibility for the 28 member states in the different sectors.
What we did
CLIMACT coordinated the development of an open-source model, designed to engage and be used by European and national policy makers, businesses, NGOs and other actors of society.
We were also responsible of the transport sector. The model tries to brings a very complex problem (i.e. the interlinkages of decarbonization pathways with economic activities, consumers’ lifestyles, macroeconomy, sustainability and international trade) to a comprehensive interface.
